Duty or Devotion

Learning to reflect how I live my Christian life. Have all that I have been doing out of duty or out of devotion ?

Is out of self or out of love for God?
This I truly need to process and reflect through.

Looking Back
Its been 4 years,
reading back i feel amaze and ashamed
It was in the past i had that flame

So strong i didn't think it ever will dim down
Until i took faith and journal only now

With love that grace had been with me
But how could i not see?

May the Spirit fills my soul
Just as how the river flows

Not the duty the nature seeks
But the devotion and faith my Lord sees.

The God that bless 1 chr 14

David was sensitive to acknowledge Gods blessings In his life, to gain favor from man and growth as a King. God did it to bless his people through King David.

Principle 1: God bless us so that he can bless the people around us

David was attacked by the philistines

Principle 2: there will always be warfare even when we are doing the right things

David seek God before the war

principle 3: Those who trust In God and his ways gains victory

David was attacked by philistines a 2nd time

Principle 4: We are consistently having warfare
Principle 5: we don't place our confidence in our strength or past victories
Principle 6: God don't always work the same way and we need to continuely seek him in all aspects of our lives.

All the nations fear King David

Principle 7: when God is with us, even the enemies can tell.

My personal application ; always learn to depend on God and seek him in all kinds of warfare. Learn to ask God what to do next, and blessings belongs to God and the purpose of blessing his people.

1 chr 13 Fear God

I kinda understand King David when his anger became fear towards God. I too fear him... A fear not out of love. But I want to believe also in His love and grace upon my life.

God is so Holy, and his ways so different that Uzzah had to die not his fault  I feel sad for him but I also understood God's holiness and perfection... I wish for God's blessing and love, that also means that I must follow and obey him his ways.

How do encourage my classmates in IDMCI?
Attitude: to take the lead from Christ to be a servant to the people around me.

Application: to attend to their needs if any, to learn from them if any, to fellowship with them if any, to be tender and compassionate I must be. To learn to pray for all of us to grow in the Lord.

To give back the Glory to God?
Humility in obedience: to obey God just as Christ did to the cross. To deny myself and submiting myself to Jesus authority, as my God. Giving him the credits and thanks giving.

Application: to serve the church where God has place me without any interest, without any comfort, without significance.

Tired

I've been in and out hospital everyday. Spending time with my dad and family. It's kind of tiring. Almost all my family members are sick. Had to deal with work and church. Usually mornings I am energetic, now I couldn't even find strength to go gym. Also with my shoulder injury.

I hope to get a good rest. That is the inner rest
